Targeted therapy for ovarian cancer

Research Interest

I am a gynecologic oncologist at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and a clinical trialist participating in translational research in ovarian and uterine cancer. Since joining the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at MUSC in August 2010, I have been awarded the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center Clinical Abney Emerging Scholars Award and the Young Investigator Award through the Gynecologic Oncology Group. I have been a co-investigator on several university- and NIH-funded grants for ovarian cancer and PI on two funded pilot trials for uterine cancer. I am the local PI for cooperative and industry clinical trials for gynecologic cancers. I am currently a member of the Translational Science Gynecologic Committee and the Immunotherapy Committee for the NRG, and I am the NRG representative to the NCI Ovarian Task Force of the Gynecologic Cancer Steering Committee. I am also the NRG co-chair for the national TESARO PRIMA trial. I am currently the Gynecologic Oncology Division Director at MUSC.
