Novel Therapeutic Approaches to Pancreatic Cancer

Research Interest

As a clinician who cares for patients with pancreatic cancer it is hard to ignore the need for progress. Science is the basis of the knowledge that will allow for that progress. My goal has always been to provide the most current treatment therapies, drive innovative basic and translational science, and support ongoing, cutting-edge clinical research. Any successful plan to grow team science involves fostering the growth of investigators at every level. I established a track record of mentorship at Washington University and hope to continue this in my new role at Medical University of South Carolina. I have always been a champion of “Team Science” and have made fostering careers across disciplines the focal point of my career. The love I developed for growing team science was a driver for accepting the new role as Deputy Director for the Hollings Cancer Center.
