Head and Neck Cancer

Research Interest

As the current director of the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), I am intimately involved in the clinical, scientific, research, and educational endeavors that occur across this cancer patient population. I have helped lead a multitude of research projects involving the care of patients with head and neck cancer and have developed a strong and growing head and neck cancer program at two institutions. Currently, our program at MUSC includes several clinical trials, both sponsored and investigator initiated, database and retrospective studies that help identify treatment pathways and best practices. Our program also includes novel surgical approaches to head and neck cancer care, including robotic surgery, fluorescent molecule guided surgery and minimally invasive surgical approaches.
