Cancer Focus:

Examining the roles of Fc (GM) and Fcg receptor genes in the pathogenesis of cancer

Research Interest

My main research concerns immunology, antibody, genotype, allele, and odds ratio. The immunology research in my lab is multidisciplinary, incorporating perspectives in disease and locus. The primary focus of my laboratory is directed towards understanding the mechanisms underlying the involvement of immunoglobulin Fc (GM) and Fc receptor genes in immunity to various malignant and infectious diseases. Our research is supported by grants and contracts from the National Institutes of Health, the US Department of Defense, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To my knowledge, my lab is the only lab in the U.S. working on highly polymorphic immunoglobulin GM genes.
